Youth carnival ends on high note
Islamabad: IST Youth Carnival (IYC) concluded here at Institute of Space Technology (IST). IYC is one of its own kind continued for three days from March 28-30, 2019.
IYC featured 57 competitions and activities with the participation of over 1000 students from 50 universities of Pakistan. PAF Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology emerged as the winner of the IYC 2019. An Awards Ceremony was organised here on Saturday evening to acknowledge the winners of different competitions during IST Youth Carnival.
Arshad Nawaz Member Industrial Projects KRL graced the occasion as chief guest. While speaking on the occasion he appreciated the role of IST in providing a splendid platform to the students where they are able to demonstrate and refine their oratory, artistic, technical and cognitive skills. He said that Youth Carnival 2019 concluded as a great success and offered a much needed platform to the youth from all across Pakistan.
He appreciated the efforts of Student’s Management Team under the leadership of Neha Asim and her team of 400 IST students. IYC’19 participants showcased their abilities in the arena of literature, writing and performing arts by participating in poetry contest, while the creative writing events included Urdu and English Essay and Story writing, and Letter to the Editor.
The student’s talent in performing arts was judged in the Drama and Mimes, Singing (Solo and Duet) competition. A wide range of fine arts, media and graphic arts events like Painting, Calligraphy, Sketching, Wall Graffiti, On Spot Selfie IYC, On Spot Fast Film, Short Film Competition, were organized. Also, sports were another highlight of the IYC’19.
