ISLAMABAD: The wedding ceremony of Former State Minister for Interior and central leader of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Dr Waseem Shehzad’s daughter Sahar Waseem turned into political gathering where the prevailing political trends were deliberated by the large number of the guests.
PTI Chief Imran Khan and Parliamentary Leader of the PTI Shah Mahmood Qureshi, leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah, former Chairman Senate Barrister Wasim Sajjad, former federal ministers Syed Naveed Qamar, Abbas Sarfaraz, Muhammad Sarwar Khan, Jahangir Tareen, Dr Babar Awan, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Syed Naveed Qamar, former disqualified MNA from Mandi Bahauddin Chaudhary Ejaz Ahmad, Senator Anwer Beg, former Governor KPK Commander Khalil, PPP workers leader Ms. Naheed Khan, Safdar Abbasi, ambassadors of more than twenty-five countries including Dean of Diplomatic Corps and ambassador of Argentine Rodolfo J Martin Saravia were among the significant guests of the wedding.
Mrs Reham Khan who was also present in the function appreciated Dr Babar Awan’s comments regarding the budget and told him she had been tweeting his comments. The outcome of the polls in Gilgit-Baltistan was prominent subject of discussion while the victory of the Pakistan Muslim Leagues (PML-N) in Mandi Bahauddin by-elections where Mumtaz Ahmad Tarrar of the PML-N has inflicted heavy defeat upon the PTI candidate Tariq Anees Tarrar also figured in talks. Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao President Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) is hopeful that Jamat-e-Islami (JI) would ultimately join the alliance of three parties.
