Opposition not to let PM be political martyr: PML-N
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Monday said Prime Minister Imran Khan could not befool the masses anymore by promoting his ‘fake’ narrative of corruption.
In a statement, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said Imran was trying to hide the incompetence of his government by claiming that the opposition was trying to blackmail the government to get an NRO for Nawaz Sharif.
“Imran is the first prime minister who wants to give containers to the opposition to protest his incompetence. But he should know that the opposition will not allow him to become a political martyr and soon he will be out on the container again,” she added.
She alleged that Imran Khan was trying to influence court proceedings in cases against the opposition leaders.
She said the PTI top leader had been doing politics in the name of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif and living in fear of the two PML-N leaders.
She said the masses were suffering not due to politics of the opposition but due to the anti-people policies of the government. “The incompetence of government and its anti-people policies are uniting the opposition at one platform,” the PML-N spokesperson claimed.
Marriyum also asked the prime minister to tell the nation that his government had secured Rs3,000 billion so far, while the GDP growth rate had come down from 5.8% to 3% rendering tens of thousands of people jobless.
