KARACHI: TCS Logistics has signed a contract with Eastern Products (Pvt) Ltd to ship their products from Pakistan to Kazakhstan under the TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers), the International Road Trucking Convention, a statement said on Monday.
The contract marks the first-ever outbound movement from Pakistan to Kazakhstan under the TIR Convention. The first shipment is expected to depart in the middle of April, it added.
A signing ceremony was held where Yonus Ali Siddiqui, head of New Business Initiatives, TCS and Syed Waqas Azher, manager export, Eastern Products (Pvt) Ltd, signed the contract on behalf of their respective companies. Also present on the occasion were Khalid Nawaz Awan, chairman of TCS Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, Saira Awan, vice chairperson of TCS Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, Qasim Awan, director of TCS Holdings (Pvt) Ltd and Zia ur Rehman, supply chain head of Eastern Products (Pvt) Ltd.
