Praying for peace
Following the heinous attacks on Muslim worship places in New Zealand, the entire Muslim world was in shock. The government of New Zealand has been taking different steps to morally offset the loss and to prevent any future such attacks. The government decided to broadcast the Friday prayer nationally, and to observe a two-minute silence to express empathy with the grieving families and to show national harmony. Also, the PM of the nation, Jacinda Ardern, has announced a ban on all assault-weapons and military-style automatic weapons in the country.
Being a peaceful Muslim nation, we pray amid great hopes for the people of New Zealand. We also hope for the safe and secure lives of Muslims and the preservation of humanity around the globe.
