Waiter held for transacting billions of rupees from Benami account
FAISALABAD: The vigilance team of the Regional Tax Office on Friday arrested a waiter from Naimat Colony on the charge of transacting billions of rupees from his Benami account. According to Regional Tex Office raiding team incharge, accused Wasim Ahmad had transacted over one billion rupees during a couple of months.
He told that the accused was a waiter in a hotel and residing in a rented house. According to the brother of accused Wasim Ahmad, he could not pay rent of his house for the last two months due to his meager wages. The accused stated that he opened his account in the bank after biometric verification.Accused Wasim informed the team that he was taking Rs 3,000 per month from the user of his bank account and he was completely ignorant about billions of rupees transaction from his account.
