Steps for tourism welcomed

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Transport Jahanzaib Khan has said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s announcement of a comprehensive road plan for the promotion of tourism and investment is a good omen.

During a meeting with public delegation he said the announcement of visa policy for the promotion of tourism would prove to be a milestone in this regard. He said Pakistan would emerge as a hub of religious, historical and cultural tourism in South Asia.

The minister said under the leadership of Imran Khan, Pakistan was on the way to peace and we wanted fruitful relations from our neighboring countries. He said online visa was an important step towards opening Pakistan for the rest of the world. He said huge opportunities were available for promoting tourism in Pakistan. He said promotion of tourism would help providing job opportunities besides increasing investment and development of far-flung areas.
