QWP convenes meeting of Pakhtun nationalist forces

PESHAWAR: The Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) has convened a meeting of the four Pakhtun nationalist forces to devise a strategy to cope with the challenges facing the Pakhtuns.

It was learnt that invitations had been extended to Mazdoor Kisan Party, Awami Workers Party, National Party, Pakhtunkhwa Ulasi Tehreek to attend the meeting to deliberate the prevailing political situation and the issues of the Pakhtuns.

The meeting that is scheduled for tomorrow would take place in Peshawar. It would also deliberate ways and means to secure the rights of the province.

Afzal Khamosh, Gul Haider Khan, Shakil Waheedullah of Mazdoor Kisan Party, Mukhtiar Bacha of National Party, Prof Dr Sarfaraz, Dr Said Alam Mehsud, Akhundzada Haider Zaman and Shahab Khattak of Awami Workers Party had been invited to the meeting.

It may be mentioned that the QWP has been making efforts to unite the Pakhtuns on a single platform and address the problems facing the Pakhtuns.
