Khassadar, Levies men threaten to boycott polio duty
LANDIKOTAL: The Khassadar and Levies personnel on Tuesday threatened to boycott the upcoming anti-polio campaign in Khyber district if their services were not merged into the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
It was decided at a meeting of the Khassadar and Levies Core Committee chaired by Subedar Major Said Jalal Khan at Bagh-e-Naran in Hayatabad Peshawar.
Hundreds of Khassadar and Levies force personnel were present.
Briefing the media after the meeting, Subedar Major Said Jalal Khan said the committee has decided to boycott the next anti-polio drive if their demands were not met.
He said the government was not accepting their lawful demands. He asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to help secure the future of thousands of Khassadar and Levies personnel.
