Multinational co’s CEO visits Pakistan tomorrow

RAWALPINDI: Pak Ambassador to Oman Ali Javed Monday welcomed Mubarak Al Mahri, CEO Berba, a Petroleum, Civil and Mechanical Engineering Services Company, at his office.

Mahri is heading to Pakistan at the invitation of Board of Investment (Bol) and is scheduled to call on Razzaq Dawood, Adviser to PM on Commerce, Textile, Industries & Production and investment, on March 13 (Wednesday), says a press release.

Recalling his past visits to Pakistan Mahri observed, “It is my third visit to brotherly Pakistan. I feet close affinity with its people and admire Prime Minister Imran Khan as a national hero.”

Mahri added, “Berba aims to take advantage of the ‘conducive environment and potential for business Pakistan offers and further aims to establishing its off-shore manufacturing facility to produce ‘Made in Pakistan’ Engineering services tools for local market with potential for export”.

The ambassador accorded a comprehensive briefing on the ‘strategic overlap’ between Pakistan and Oman and on the complete spectrum of cooperation with focus on recent visit by Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi to Co-Chair the Pak-Oman Joint Commission (Jan 30-31, 2019) alongside his Omani counterpart Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah.

The Ambassador welcome Berba’s initiative and shared details of forthcoming visits of ‘Friendship Group’ from Senate of Pakistan (State Council – March 17-21) and 18-member business delegation from Trade Development Authority (Mar 31-April-2).
