Islamabad: The Iqbal Institute for Research and Dialogue (IRD) has launched three of its books in a ceremony held here on the new campus of the International Islamic University.
The books included: “Mutabdil Biyania by Dr. Muhammad Farooq Khan, Mutabadil Biyaniya by Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiwessh and third book is Idara e Islami Tameer e Nau by Dr. Inam ul Haq Yasin.
The ceremony was attended by senior journalist Saleem Safi, former special assistant to premier Barrister Zafrullah Khan, IIU President Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, Executive Director IRD Dr. Husn ul Amin, IIU vice-presidents and other relevant officials.
The IIU president said that indigenous knowledge is the attribute which must be appreciated being pursued by the IRD.
He also highlighted the importance of moderation and Islamic values.
Saleem Safi remembered the days spent with Dr. Farooq Khan and he also hailed the role of IRD. He called for having different narratives in all the fields. Dr. Inamul Haq Yyasin highlighted the aspects of the book he wrote. Dr. Husnul Amin said that IRD was keen for indigenization f knowledge and it had already published as many as 55 books by indigenous authors, while 20 more were in pipeline.
