HEC celebrates Women’s Day at FJWU
Rawalpindi: On the International Women's Day, Higher Education Commission has organized a Women’s Day event at Fatima Jinnah Women University here on Friday to celebrate the achievements and successful stories of student’s scholarship recipients of USAID Funded Merit and Need Based Scholarship Programme.
The event was honouring all girls who have broken barriers to achieve their goals and have embarked upon of success.
Welcome address given by Registrar Prof. Samina Bukhari and Vice Chancellor FJWU Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir was the chief guest of the event she said that if women want to do something, they can do it. Be confident about yourself and must listen your inner voice, understand and follow them. Dur-e-Shahwar, Director Capacity building Pak-USAID Merit & Needs Based Scholarship Program-MNBSP shared her successful life journey said at the moment that today’s woman is no longer a dependent soul. “She is Independent and self-reliant in every respect and is capable of doing everything. Let’s recognize the importance of their existence and motivate them for the future achievements,” she added.
The event was attended by Deans, Faculty members and 60 students of USAID Need Based Scholarship and they have shared their stories and also showcase documentary of successful students.
