Trials to select wheelchair tennis players tomorrow

KARACHI: Sindh Tennis Association (STA) in collaboration with Para Sports Pakistan is holding trials to select six wheelchair tennis players at Union Club here on Sunday (tomorrow) at 10am.
The selected players will be given advanced training for two months. Sindh Sports Board has sponsored this wheelchair coaching camp. An official said that the immediate goal was to prepare a four-member team for an international competition this year.
Meanwhile, STA has launched a wheelchair tennis talent hunt under which the coordinators of the association will visit various special athletes’ schools. The coordinators will pick potential wheelchair tennis players and STA will provide them free coaching.
