Mobility in the city
Karachi is the biggest city of Pakistan in terms of its population. The problems of this city are multiplying with each passing day. The lack of an effective and decent transportation system is one of them. Currently, the city of Karachi has been facing the worst situation in terms of meeting its citizens’ transport demands. The current public transport facilities are not only insufficient in the city but are also in a dilapidated condition. Residents are forced to use forty-year-old buses for moving across the city. Almost all public buses are seen carrying more passengers than their capacity with some sitting on the roofs of the buses.
Both the federal and provincial governments take steps to resolve the transportation issue. An effective, affordable, time-saving, comfortable, neat and clean transportation system is required for the comfortable travelling of residents.
