Our security forces are fully equipped and ready to hit back any time, if India dares to spring into any such misadventure. It is also essential that the UN and the rest of the world must condemn India for this territorial transgression.

While war is not a solution to any problem in the world, we need to be on our toes to stop India from further aggression.

Yesterday’s violation by India speaks volumes about our reaction. If one looks at the history of Pakistan-India relations, it will be noticed that Pakistan has always merely reacted to such misadventures. It seems the Indian intelligence agencies have a series of planned schemes to be executed on an as-needed basis to help their political leadership achieve objectives, leaving Pakistan to a reaction-mode only. We know that India’s plans towards Pakistan are irrespective of who rules there – the Congress or the BJP.

We are in a very precarious situation. We cannot afford an armed conflict as a nuclear war can have devastating effects on the region. I would request our policymakers to form a dedicated research cell comprising professionals from military, foreign office and intelligence agencies to help forecast such Indian actions to help our political leadership come up with a timely and appropriate reaction.

Against the fact that India penetrated our airspace at predawn makes it irrelevant to talk whether there have been any causalities or infrastructure was destroyed.

The important point is that our sovereignty was breached. This is a serious matter which should be looked into efficiently. A response is urgently needed before India carries out a similar activity again.
