The Sindh Rangers on Friday arrested four suspects, including two extortionists, during raids in different areas of the metropolis. According to a Rangers spokesman, Faisal Ali and Muhammad Ali were arrested in Malir for being involved in a number of extortion cases. During a raid in Gulbahar, two suspects were apprehended for their involvement in extortion cases and street crime. They were identified as Muhammad Arsalan and Shahid Ahmed Maqsood. The soldiers also claimed to have seized weapons and drugs from the suspects. They were handed over to police for further legal action.
Four hurt in bakery fire
Four people suffered burn injuries when a fire broke out in a bakery on Friday. Rescue officials said the incident took place in the Korangi Crossing area. The fire engulfed the entire surroundings of the bakery.
The valuables were reduced to ashes while four people, including Faheem Abdul Razaq and Iqra, were hurt. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Firefighters and the locals brought the fire under control after hectic efforts.
