ABBOTTABAD: Deputy Commissioner Amir Afaq on Wednesday directed to shift both the land revenue offices to Lora tehsil from Abbottabad.
Stressing the need for providing benefits of setting up the new tehsil to its people, he warned that a stringent disciplinary action would be taken against the officers and staff of the government departments as well as teachers for their absence from duty or inefficiency.
The deputy commissioner issued on the spot the orders while responding to the problems and complaints of the people at an open kutchehry at the Lora Tehsil.
Tehsil Nazim Havelian, Arsal Pervez, Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad Usman Ashraf, Additional Assistant Commissioner-II Gulfam Khan, Tehsil Municipal Officer Syed Sikandar Mansoor, other officers of the federal, provincial and district departments, local bodies’ councillors and a large number of local citizens attended the open forum. Of different complaints about the dilapidated condition of certain roads, Amir Affaq said that rehabilitation work on main Lora road was underway.
