These views were expressed by Inspector General Police Punjab, Amjad Javed Saleemi, while addressing recently promoted 17 police officers in a ranks pinning ceremony held at Central Police Office, Lahore. On this occasion, Additional IGP Establishment Punjab Ejaz Hussain Shah, CCPO Lahore BA Nasir, DIG Headquarters Afzaal Kausar and PSO to IGP Hassan Asad Alvi were present.

According to details, 11 officers out of 17 got promoted from SP to SSP rank whereas six were promoted from ASP to SP rank. The name of officers who were pinned the ranks are CTO Lahore Captain ® Liaqat Ali Malik, DPO Muzaffargarh Imran Kishwar, DPO Rahimyar Khan Umar Farooq Salamat, SSP Technical CTD Punjab Mustafa Hameed Malik, SP Punjab Safe City Authority Tousif Haider, PS to CM Punjab Ghulam Mubashir Makin, Deputy Director Headquarters SPU Punjab Qaisar Bashir Makhdoom, SSP Admin Lahore Muntazer Mehdi, AIG Admin CPO Asad Sarfraz Khan, SSP operations Lahore Mustansar Feroz and AIG Development CPO Punjab Muhammad Hassan Iqbal while the name of officers who were pinned the rank of SP are, SDPO Nankana Sahib Hassan Afzal, SDPO Saddar Faisalabad Dost Muhammad, SDPO Saddar Kasur Zubair Nazir Ahmed Shaikh, SDPO Rawalpindi Cantt Muhammad Ayyaz, SDPO Civil Lines Rawalpindi Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt and ASP Admin Rawalpindi Ambreen Ali.

EXAM SCHEDULE: Lahore Police has issued schedule for promotional examination list “A” of constables commencing from February 24th at District Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh. Capital City Police Officers Lahore BA Nasir has constituted a committee in this regard comprising SSP Administration Muntazir Mehdi as Chairman whereas SP Headquarters Syed Karrar Hussain, SP Security Lahore Faisal Shehzad, SP Legal Rana Latif, Inspectors Establishment of CCPO Lahore and DIG operations offices as its members. The committee will nominate required number of inspectors and sub-inspectors preferably probationer inspectors and sub-inspectors to work as invigilators as well as examiners. SP Headquarters Syed Karrar Hussain informed that the candidates can submit their applications for these exams at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh till February 23rd. He said that written test would be held on February 24th whereas parade test and interview would be conducted on February 25th.
