Pakistan Navy seizes liquor worth Rs20m

The Pakistan Navy apprehended a large hoard of liquor during an intelligence-based operation near Ormara on Friday.
According to a spokesman for the PN, 4,800 cans of beer and 2,460 bottles of liquor worth Rs20 million were seized which were being smuggled to Pakistan through sea. The illegal consignment had been handed over to Pakistan Customs for disposal.
The operation was executed with meticulous planning, consistent surveillance and obtaining precise intelligence, which demonstrates the PN’s resolve to prevent any kind of unlawful activities taking place along our coast and adjacent sea areas, the spokesman added. The Navy remains committed to its national and international obligations to maintain peace and order at sea.
