APC consensus

This refers to the news report, ‘APC reaches consensus on corridor’ (May 29). Our political leadership have finally overcome their differences on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and given a green signal to the project after getting assurances that all proposals of the affiliated projects along with the trade corridor route will be made after achieving consensus with all stakeholders.
The four provincial governments were invited to the APC to point out potential industrial sites along the route to make the project more beneficial. Moreover, the APC also gave a political nod to the western alignment of the route that will link Gwadar with Khunjorab. This will greatly help address the concerns of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The consensus reached at the APC shows that our political leadership is mature enough to take sagacious decisions.
It also shows that we can solve all our problems if we keep our national interests supreme. Credit for the CPEC consensus goes to all political parties that attended Thursday’s APC.
