Man found hanged

LAHORE: A 30-year-old man was found hanged from the ceiling of his room in the Hunjarwal area on Thursday. The deceased was indentified as Ali Raza of Sarwar Town, Hunjarwal. His uncle spotted him hanging dead. Police suspected foul play in the incident and removed the body to morgue.

Traders: A delegation of Anjuman Tajraan Lahore called on DIG Operations here on Thursday. Talking to the delegation, the DIG said that effective measures had been taken by the Lahore Police to improve the security of the trade centres and markets of the City as a result of increased patrolling by Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit. He said the ratio of street crimes had decreased to 47 percent according to the data of the calls made on 15 and recorded by Punjab Safe Cities Authority. The officer-bearers of Anjuman Tajraan Lahore lauded the efforts of Lahore Police for maintaining the law and order in the City.

Police Darbar: Police Darbar of Anti-Riot Force was held at Qila Gujjar Singh Police Lines on Thursday. The SP headquarters/Anti Riot-Force listened to the problems of the Anti-Riot Force staff and issued orders for their solution to the problems. He said that implementation of eight-hour duty time and weekly rest had been ensured to the staff of Anti-Riot Force following the routine of the other wings of Lahore Police.
