Police arrest woman kidnapper

PESHAWAR: The police Tuesday arrested an alleged woman kidnapper and recovered ransom money from her.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Peshawar, Mian Saeed Ahmad told reporters that a man had been kidnapped for ransom from Hayatabad on April 19 by a woman Rida and her accomplices.
He said the complainant told the police that he was shot at and thrown in Palosai village in injured condition when the kidnappers received Rs300,000 as ransom. “The police arrested Rida during a raid in Gharibabad. The ransom money and the car of the kidnapped person were also recovered from her,” the SSP said.
He added that raids were being conducted to arrest her accomplices.In a separation action, the SSP said four kilograms of heroin and 35 kilograms of hashish were seized near Hazarkhwani Chowk.He said one Parvez was arrested on the charges of smuggling narcotics.
