LAHORE
Provincial Minister for Cooperatives Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said the record of cooperative housing societies would be computerised till June 2015.
He was talking to representatives of various housing societies who called on him at his residence on Sunday. He said that the wing had been established to provide basic facilities in cooperative housing societies and private housing schemes. After the computerisation of all record the matter of all cooperative housing societies would be forwarded to LDA, Wasa and government offices for approval, he added. He said that billions of rupees were being spent on sewerage in Raiwind and 11 cooperative, 16 private and other housing schemes would benefit from it.
Wattoo: PPP Punjab President Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo has warmly welcomed the visit of the Chinese president to Pakistan.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Wattoo said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto played a pioneer role in building bridges between Pakistan and China that turned into an all weather friendship which was deeper than the Arabian Sea and higher than the Himalayas.
He pointed out that Pakistan had been consistent under his leadership in supporting the membership of mainland China to the United Nations without caring for fierce opposition of traditional enemies of China who were determined to keep it in isolation.
