Foreign hand

This refers to the news report, ‘Keep hands off Pakistan’ (April 16). Since independence Baluchistan has been lagging far behind in development compared to the rest of the country. The sense of deprivation among the Baloch has compounded the problem in the province. Some among them are up in arms to get their rights. Recently 20 labourers were brutally murdered in Turbat.
Killings like these point to some hidden agenda of our adversaries. We have paid a heavy price for such conspiracies in the past with the dismemberment of half of our country in 1971. In this context the statement of the army chief warning enemies to keep their hands off our territory is welcome news. We should extend full support to the army in the fight against our enemies.
