ANP to provide evidence to commission: Haider Hoti

PESHAWAR: Provincial president of Awami National Party (ANP) Ameer Haider Hoti Sunday said that they would present evidence of rigging in 2013 polls to the Judicial Commission and work on collecting the proofs have been expedited.
Addressing a party gathering here, he said that the Judicial Commission should also take notice of the attacks on the ANP leaders and workers during the election campaign, which was tantamount to pre-poll rigging.
He said that they were picking up the coffins of their slain leaders and workers when others were busy in election campaign. He said that mean and cruel tactics were used to keep the ANP away from the political arena.
He said that the ANP was the lone political force that has protected the rights of the masses. “This is the reason that a huge number of people are joining the party. A huge number of people announced joining ANP on the occasion. He putting red caps on their heads to formally welcome them into the party folds.
He said that the so-called champions of change have multiplied the miseries of the people of the province instead of resolving them. He said that the people of the province were now regretting their decision to vote for them.
About the local government elections, he said that the provincial government was planning rigging in the upcoming local bodies elections. But the people would foil their designs, said, adding, the ruling parties would suffer humiliating defeat in the local government elections and the ANP would secure a landslide victory.
Meanwhile, the ANP’s committee for collecting proofs of rigging during 2013 elections met with its head Abdul Latif Afridi in the chair.The meeting was also attended by Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Afrasiab Khattak, Bushra Gohar and Zahid Khan.
