The Punjab CM has reportedly taken notice of the brutal murder of a bus hostess. As the sole breadwinner of her family of five, the young hostess lived in a hostel in Faisalabad. While it is commendable that the CM has decided to look into this matter, it is suggested that the bereaved family should be granted a government-sanctioned monthly stipend so that the family can meet their monthly expenses.
The CM should take all the necessary steps to give exemplary punishment to the culprit. Although the authorities always announce to bring culprits to book, the truth is that many criminals manage to run away and escape punishment. It is time the government gave strict punishment to the culprit so that such crimes are prevented in the future.
