A man was shot dead in Lyari and a mutilated body was found from Nishtar Road on Friday, while an official of the Special Security Unit official who was injured in last week’s Quaidabad bus blast passed away.
According to Kalakot police, gangsters had shot a man in Jhatpat Market, Lyari who later succumbed to his wounds during treatment at the Civil Hospital. The man identified as 35-year old Haseeb Baloch, son of Abdul Karim Baloch, was a resident of Somniani area of Balochistan.
SHO Haji Sanaullah claimed the gangsters had shot Baloch over a possible suspicion of being an informant but added that police would investigate the incident further.

Constable Umeed Ali, 25, injured in bomb attack on a police bus near Quaidabad on March 27, succumbed to his wounds during treatment at a private hospital.
Two police constables were killed while more than 21 were injured when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), fixed in a motorcycle, exploded near the bus.
Funeral prayers of the deceased were offered at the SSU center in Karachi, attended by Sindh polices’ senior officials.
Body found
A body of a man, appearing to be in his mid 40s was found from Nishtar road, within the jurisdiction of the Risala police station. SHO Zulfiqar Ali said no identification papers were present with the body nor was the face recognisable.
