PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leadership is seemed to have succumbed to the pressure of party workers and issued party tickets to its old activist, Shaukat Yousafzai.

Besides Shaukat Yousafzai, some PTI sources claimed the party had also issued tickets to the two other old activists and former MNAs, Ali Mohammad Khan and Sheharyar Afridi.

However, it could not be confirmed from the party leadership as PTI central spokesman Fawad Chaudhry and other relevant people avoided to comment.

The PTI leadership had earlier refused him party ticket for PK-77 Peshawar and wanted Shaukat Yousafzai to contest from his native Shangla district. However, based in Peshawar along with his family for quite a long time, Shaukat Yousafzai insisted on contesting from the same constituency in Peshawar that elected him MPA in the 2013 general election.

On Friday when PTI ?issued party tickets for all its candidates in the country.

Many senior and old people were surprised and shocked when they came to know that their party had refused them tickets.

Shaukat Yousafzai, Ali Mohammad Khan and Sheharyar Afridi were among those old people refused party tickets.

Shaukat Yousafzai had earlier refused to contest election from his native Shangla district but PTI sources said after Imran Khan and Pervez Khattak convinced him, he decided to contest from his home district.

“Yes Khan sahib and Khattak sahib had called me and wanted me to contest from my home town, which they felt was better for me and for the party. And now I decided to contest from Shangla,” Shaukat Yousafzai told The News when reached on phone in Peshawar.

He will have face some strong candidates of other political on PK-23 Shangla .

The ANP has issued party ticket to Mutawakil Khan while PML-N has filleded Mohammad Rashad? Khan from the same constituency.

Similarly, PPP issued party ticket to former MPA Afsarul Mulk Khan and JUI-F nominated it’s former senator Rahat Hussain to contest from same constituency.
