LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf central leader Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar has said that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s stand on the establishment of southern Punjab province has completely exposed the animosity of the PML-N rulers towards the southern Punjab province.

He said the PM had proved that the PML-N was not only against creating new province in southern Punjab but would also create hindrance in the way of coming government to accomplish the task of establishing South Punjab as a new province.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, Bakhtiar said with the PM's stand, the rulers’ real face had been exposed to the people of South Punjab whom the rulers were trying to fool by making false promises during their several visits to the area.

“Politics of alluring and defrauding the people of southern Punjab will not work anymore as the enlightened people of Pakistan will dismiss the rulers’ drama with the power of vote,” he said. He said putting up plaques at the already inaugurated projects would not help the rulers win public support, and the people would hold them accountable in the upcoming general elections.

Bakhtiar pointed out that those who made tall claims of transforming Punjab’s public sector hospitals into modern hospitals on the pattern of European hospitals should first get themselves and their family members treated at these hospitals.

Without naming Sharif brothers, Khusro Bakhtiar said the elder brother had adopted a path of confrontation.
