PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) provincial chairman Sikandar Sherpao said on Monday that the 100-day agenda of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman was a lip-service.
Speaking at a press conference here, he said the 100-day plan was a political gimmick.
Sikandar Sherpao said the PTI government had failed to implement its so-called 90 days agenda in KP after forming government in the wake of the last general election, how it could execute such a plan in the entire country.
He observed that the Imran Khan's 100-day plan had touched upon some provincial subjects, which was a violation of the 18th Constitutional Amendment.
The QWP leader said that if the PTI-led provincial government had implemented its pre-election promises in KP, one could expect that they could also implement new plan for the country.
He said Imran Khan's 100-day agenda is not more than election sloganeering and false claims.
After 1,825 days, he said, there was no sign of change in health, education sectors in KP and there was a marked difference between the hollow rhetoric and the actual actions of PTI Chief Imran Khan, he added.
Sikandar recalled that the past three provincial governments had failed to implement their agenda, creating sense of deprivation among the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said PTI-led government could not construct any mega projects in the province and the only mega project of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) remains incomplete, which demonstrates party's incompetence and lack of experience in accomplishing such projects.
Flanked by the party's provincial general secretary Hashim Babar, Secretary Information Tariq Khan and others, Sikandar said that Chief Minister Pervez Khattak was inaugurating incomplete projects - a reference to opening of a section of Swat Expressway.
About the recent report of UNDP, the QWP leader said the report had exposed the performance of PTI-led provincial government in the human development index, in which it was revealed that Punjab is far better than KP.
He said that KP's Ehtesab Commission was established to eliminate corruption but it failed to do so.
