The long wait
The chief justice has said that the judiciary will have to prove itself through its work. It is widely believed that justice that is delayed is invariably denied. In our country, there are some cases filed in the court during the 1980s that are still pending in the court. The biggest problem being faced by the people is that they do not obtain justice in a timely manner. A court case tends to linger without purpose for many years.
It is time the authorities concerned provided swift justice to those who are awaiting justice. In addition, it is also our responsibility to update all those laws that have become dated over the decades. It is also the responsibility of all citizens to sacrifice for the future of our children. Everyone should cooperate with the judiciary to provide justice to the people.
