KARACHI: Over 270 professional golfers will feature in the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) Qualifying School competition, which tees off here from Wednesday (today).
The three-day qualifying event, to be played simultaneously at the Karachi Golf Club and Defence Authority Country and Golf Club, will feature professionals from all over the country.The PGF is conducting the qualifying competition in association with the Sindh Golf Association (SGA).
Asad I.A Khan, President SGA, told ‘The News’ that the top 40 professionals from the country have been exempted from the Q-School and will get direct entries in all major national circuit events.
From the players participating in the Qualifying School, the top 60 players will earn the right to play on the national circuit while the next forty will be among the reserves.On the opening day, half of the participating players will play at KGC while the remaining will be in action at DACGC. After the second at the end of day two, the top finishers will play in the final round at KGC on Friday.
