KP CM claims upholding policy of merit in province
NOWSHERA: Claiming to uphold policy of merit, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said on Saturday that all and sundry would have to work for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
He was speaking as chief guest at a function arranged by the Masihi Ittehad in connection with Easter. MNA Dr Imran Khattak, Malik Aftab, Pastor Jan Alam, Masihi Ittehad Nowshera chapter chairman Stephen Ghauri and others also spoke on the occasion.
Pervez Khattak said his party tried its level best to deliver as per the party’s election manifesto. Claiming to win the next polls on the basis of his government’s performance, Pervez Khattak said, “We spared no effort to bring reforms in all the sectors, including health and education. However, we will make up for the deficiencies in our next government after election victory.”
He said that his government didn’t discriminate against the members of the minority groups on the basis of colour, caste and creed. The chief minister maintained that merit was upheld as all members of the minority groups, including Christians, Sikhs and Hindus were equal citizens of Pakistan.
