PFF holds club licensing seminar

LAHORE: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) organisesd club licensing seminar in Karachi on Friday.The seminar was conducted by PFF’s head of League Development and Club Licensing Shahid Khokhar.

According to information made available here the representatives of all the PPL playing clubs and departments, present in Karachi to play National Challenge Cup, were present at the occasion.

Khokhar during first session briefed the audience about the Club Licensing Regulations (CLR) followed by the details of the importance of the CLR. “AFC Club Licensing Regulations are obligatory for every club which needs a license to take part in the top league of the AFC Member Association or AFC relevant category event,” Shahid said in this regard. In the third and last session Shahid elaborated the benefits of the implementation of Club Licensing Regulations. “It is not a hindrance rather it is a pathway of the development of football clubs”. The Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) club licensing is extremely necessary and a club which does not fulfill club licensing requirements would not be able to feature in the AFC Cup. After the seminar, which was hosted by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) at its headquarters Karachi, managers meeting in connection with the National Football Challenge Cup was held in which issues regarding The National Challenge Cup 2018 were discussed.

The managers meeting was followed by the National Challenge Cup draws ceremony held at the same venue. The National Football Challenge Cup will begin at the KPT Stadium in Karachi from Saturday. Syed Khadim Ali Shah, Senior Vice President PFF & President Sindh FA, will grace the opening match as the chief guest. The opening will be played between National Bank of Pakistan and Ashraf Sugar Mills.
