LAKKI MARWAT: The Counter- Terrorism Department (CTD) officials arrested two alleged terrorists including a would-be suicide bomber near Naurang town here on Friday.
An official source said that the action was initiated on credible information about presence of miscreants and target killers in a rural locality. "A gang of miscreants headed by target killers Amjad Nawaz and Bakhtawar had infiltrated into the district with an intention to carry out subversive act," he claimed.
He added that the terrorists were plotting to execute suicide attack in the area and that they had dumped suicide vest, explosives and hand grenades in the rural locality. "The CTD commandos raided a hideout in Kotka Haidran and arrested Sadiqullah and Naimatullah, residents of North Waziristan Agency," he maintained, adding that Sadiqullah is a would-be suicide bomber and he was brought to the district for carrying out terrorist act.
He maintained that the kingpins of gang including Amjad Nawaz and Bakhtawar had left the place before the CTD personnel reached there. The official said that the arrested terrorists belonged to banned TTP and that the law enforcers also seized four hand grenades and a suicide jacket from them. "The arrested men were shifted to an undisclosed location after registration of case against them under relevant section of law," he added.
