11 militants arrested in Buner search operation

MINGORA: The police arrested 11 militants and recovered huge cache of arms during a search operation in Buner district, official said on Wednesday. District Police Officer, Buner, Syed Khalid Mehmud Hamdani, said the police launched a search operation in the district after reports about the presence of militants supporters in Gokand, Jowar, Pir Baba and Elam Mountains.
He said the police arrested 11 militants, including Bakht Zarin, Syed Zarin, Muhammad Zarif, Bakht Jamal, Suliman, Bahadur Said, Gul Ramn, Shirinzada, Khapairy and Amir Rehman.The official said that nine Kalashnikov rifles, two RPG launchers, a sniper gun, 25 kilograms explosives, binoculars and several foreign-made rifles and pistols were recovered from their possession.
