Islamabad: The mobilisation of security forces for the Pakistan Day parade on March 23 has led to postponement of the National Immunisation Days (NIDs) for polio eradication in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The campaign will also not be held in Quetta and several other snow-clad areas.
The campaign in Rawalpindi has now been rescheduled for March 24, and that in Islamabad for March 30. Final dates for Quetta are still being worked out. The campaign has also been postponed in snow-capped areas, including parts of Abbottabad, Chitral, Mansehra, Astore and Skardu.Barring the above areas, the NIDs will tee off in all other parts of the country today (Monday).
