Faizabad dharna: Non-bailable warrants for Khadim Rizvi, 3 accused
ISLAMABAD: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Judge Shahrukh Arjumand Tuesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Tehreek Labaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi and three others in several cases of violence, including an attack on a police check post during the Faizabad sit-in (dharna) last year.
Rizvi led the sit-in against the government for around three weeks in November last year, bringing the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad to a standstill.
The cases against the religious party leaders were registered by the Khanna Pul Police Station.
The judge ordered the police to arrest the accused and present them in the court.
Rizvi, Maulana Inayatullah, Ziaullah Khairi and Shaikh Azhar are wanted by the police. The charges include attacking police and obstructing government officials.
