Agreement inked to set up cadet college at Fort Munro
LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif paid tribute to the professional services of Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman during the agreement signing ceremony between Punjab government and Pakistan Air Force for establishing Fort Munro Cadet College.
While talking after signing the agreement Sunday, the chief minister said this ceremony will be the last of the initiatives of Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman for good purpose and public welfare nevertheless the way he has focused on promotion of education and social services along with his professional responsibilities will always be remembered. Participants of ceremony also acknowledged the services of Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman with a huge round of applause. Sohail Aman appreciated the spirit of cooperation by the Punjab government during his speech.
The CM said they have full confidence in the professional capabilities of PAF which has the ability to defeat enemies. The signing ceremony was also attended by Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Leghari and others. Punjab government will provide 100 acres of land for building cadet college and welfare city in Fort Munro and will also provide a grant of Rs1 billion. The chief minister said project of Special Education Centre with the cooperation of PAF and Punjab government will be a role model.
Meanwhile, the chief minister said general election will prove a nightmare for those who have created hurdles in the journey of development and hoped that PML-N will form the next government across country. National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Railways Minister Kh Saad Rafique called on the CM here Sunday. Matters of mutual interest, development projects and political situation were discussed in the meeting.
The chief minister said people are well aware of the fact that who has served them by day and night and who kept lying to them. Furthermore, he added that they have not made roads and Metro only but also set record of establishing schools, colleges and hospitals in the province.
He said unity of Zardari and Niazi is not for public interest but only for the power. Revolutionary development through mega projects in Punjab is the honour of the PML-N and all institutions should work together for the development and prosperity of Pakistan. He said Niazi and Zardari blending is actually a face saving to hide their failures and 22 million people in Pakistan will hold accountable the enemies of development in the next general election.
On the other hand, the chief minister congratulated Chinese President Xi Jinping for being elected again. CM while extending his best wishes said election of Xi Jinping for second time shows the trust of people in his great leadership as during his rule; he made China one of the robust economies of the world in short time.
