Man kills youth,injures sister for ‘honour’

FAISALABAD: A man allegedly killed a youth and injured his sister for ‘honour’ here on Friday. Accused Zulqarnain of Tandlianwala allegedly murdered Riaz Ali of Chak 423/GB who had come to his house to meet his beloved Maria. The accused also injured Maria. The injured girl was shifted to a hospital from where she reportedly escaped.

Two brothers get death for double-murder: Additional Sessions Judge Yasir Hayat on Friday awarded death sentence and Rs 400,000 fine each to two brothers in a double murder case. According to the prosecution, Nadeem and Muhammad Aslam murdered two bothers, Ali Akbar and Shahid, over a minor dispute at Chak 50/JB, Nishatabad. The court acquitted Zahid and Sarfraz by giving them benefit of the doubt in the same case.
