The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Ports and Shipping on Friday recommended building a boundary wall around the Pakistan Marine Academy (PMA) at the earliest in view of threats to educational Institutions.
Talking to the media, Acting Chairman of the committee Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari said that an amount of Rs 60 million has been recommended for the safety, renovation and development projects of the PMA.
“PMA is a productive academy and our committee would strive hard for its improvement and to resolve other issues confronted by it.”
Giving his suggestions, he said the PMA should take steps for further enhancement of its educational standard.
Earlier, Commandant PMA Tahir Jamil in his briefing to the committee said the academy is a training complex spread over a wide area with enrollment of around 170 cadets.
