JHANG: Employees of the district administration on Friday observed strike against the lawyers for scuffling with the Land Record Management Information Centre (LRMIC) staffers.
Employees of the TMA, District Council and Revenue Department led by ADC Babar Bashir blocked a road in front of the DCO’s Office to register their protest. They also locked their offices.
On the other hand, the lawyers also protested against registration of a case against their colleagues. Meanwhile, police on Thursday night registered a case against nine lawyers under Sections 7-ATA and 440, 342, 353, 147 and 148 of the PPC on the report of Ashar Hameed of the LRMIC.
Meanwhile, the additional district and sessions judge on an application of lawyers ordered police to register a case against Ashar Hameed and his colleagues for confining the lawyers and taking away their valuables.
