VALUABLES worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were gutted in different incidents of fire in the provincial metropolis on Friday.
Rescue teams reached the incident place and controlled the fire. A fire broke out in Arfan’s house due to short-circuit in Hanjarwal. Suddenly, it engulfed the whole house and burnt clothes, furniture and other valuables. Residents of the house ran for their life. Someone informed the Rescue 1122 and Edhi Foundation. They reached the incident place and extinguished the fire.
Meanwhile, another fire broke out in Mansoor’s shop and burnt valuables. Rescue teams extinguished the fire.
thieves held: Mustafa Town Police claimed to have arrested four members of Afzal alias Aphi Dacoit gang and recovered one van, cash, 10 bikes, six mobile-phones, four pistols and bullets from their possession on Friday. The accused were identified as Afzal alias Aphi, Saeed alias Usman, Tanveer and Mazhar. The accused were arrested by a special police team. The special team raided a hideout on a tip-off and arrested the accused. Police told the media that accused were history-sheeters and 17 cases had been traced against them.
