LANDIKOTAL: The Landikotal administration on Sunday foiled a bid to smuggle hashish and opium from Afghanistan and arrested an alleged peddler, official sources said.Tehsildar Landikotal Shamsul Islam said they stopped a an empty truck (3208-GLT) at Landikotal Bypass and recovered 47 kilograms hashish and 25 kilogram opium from the hidden cavities of the vehicle.The driver identified as Yar Muhammad, a resident of Bazaar Zakhakhel in Landikotal, was arrested and sent to Landikotal lock-up for investigation.
