District and Sessions judge Tariq Iftikhar Tuesday deputed two magistrates at central jail to witness the execution of two convicts going to be hanged on March 17 and 18 convicted in murder cases.
The court deputed magistrates Muhammad Imran Yousaf and Mudassar Hussain Khawaja of Model Town courts to witness the execution of convicts Malik Muhammad Ashraf on March 17 while convict Tahir Bashir alias Tara on march 18.
The central jail authorities wrote to the judge requesting to depute a judicial magistrate to witness the execution and attest the ‘last will’ of the prisoners.

Convict Tahir Bashir alias Tara had gunned down Arshad Ali over a minor issue. Complainant Murad Ali, brother of the deceased, lodged an FIR with Sabzazar Police in 2000.
