The Corruption Perceptions Index released by a Transparency International report has ranked Pakistan 117th out of the 180 countries. It is a sad truth that Pakistan and corruption go hand in hand. Nepotism and favouritism are the primary cause of rampant corruption and we need to take concrete steps to counter this social problem.
We can make this country corruption-free by ensuring that accountability is for all. Every institution should be held responsible for its actions. If anyone caught embezzling fund, strict punishments should be given so that this wrongful action is not repeated.
