Several political workers join JI
NOWSHERA: Several workers of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl quit their party and announced joining the Jamaat-e-Islami on Sunday.
Javed Khattak and Habibullah Mashwani along with relatives, friends and supporters joined the JI. They announced the decision at a ceremony arranged at the Wapda Colony in Taru Jaba. JI chief, Senator Sirajul Haq, was the chief guest at the function. JI provincial chief Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, district amir, Anwarul Islam, Jawad Nabi Seena and Mian Sohaibuddin Kakakhel spoke also on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, the JI chief said that corruption was prevalent in all the provinces of the country.
Senator Sirajul Haq said it was strange that those who had ruled the country for a long time were themselves now complaining against the system despite the fact that they should have corrected things when they were in power. He said his party was committed to eradicating corruption in the country. “We were the first to launch drive against corruption in the country,” he said.
