22 bikes recovered from thieves

LAHORE: The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff, Sadr, arrested five bike lifters and recovered 22 bikes from them.

The arrested accused were identified as Nadeem, Arshad, Ejaz, Ishaq and Asif Ali. Police recovered 22 bikes, two rickshaws and electronic devices from them. Illicit arms were also seized.

Meanwhile, Ravi Road investigation police arrested two thieves and recovered loot from them. Three bikes and cell phones were recovered from them. Illicit arms were also seized from the the arrested accused, identified as Walayat Khan and Ahsan.

performance: The Sadr SP held a weekly meeting on Friday to review the performance of Sadr police division.

The police claimed to have arrested 62 criminals, including six court absconders, two proclaimed offenders and four target offenders, during the last two days. Similarly, the police arrested four illicit arms carriers, three drug pushers, three beggars and 31 other persons on charges of creating law and order. The police registered 10 cases under the Tenancy Act.

cameras: Twenty eight new IP one-line viewing cameras have been installed in Old Engine Shed in Lahore for security purposes. After installation of cameras, the whole engine shed will be monitored. It would improve performance of the employees, said Muhammad Sufiyan Dogar, divisional superintendent.
