Peshawar, Islamabad to meet in Disabled T20 Cup final
KARACHI: Peshawar and Islamabad blasted their way into the semi-finals of the 6th National Disabled T20 Cup winning their respective matches on Thursday.
The teams will meet in the semi-final at the Pindi Stadium on Friday (today). The winners of the semi-final will meet two-time defending champions Multan in the final, which will be held after the Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20, which begins in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on February 22.
At Diamond Club Ground, Islamabad, Peshawar rode on the heroics of opener Adeel Khan (87) to defeat Sialkot by 47 runs. Adeel smashed 12 fours and four sixes in his 38-ball fire-work to enable Peshawar to pile up 213-7.
Sialkot were folded for 166 with Ali Raza smacking 27-ball 64 which included six sixes and two fours.Fayyaz Ahmed and Abdullah Afridi got three wickets each.Islamabad overcame Lahore by four wickets at National Ground, Islamabad.Lahore posted 139-9 with Mohammad Khalid blasting 37. Islamabad raced to the target after losing six wickets.
