PESHAWAR: The Counter-Terrorism Department on Saturday arrested a resident of Dir, who had staged a drama of his kidnapping. A press release said Inamullah of Shiringal, Upper Dir, went missing and later the family received call that he had been kidnapped and would be released only after payment of Rs1 million. The police, while investigating the case, raided a hotel in Board Bazaar and recovered Inamullah. Inamullah, according to the press release, disclosed that he himself went into hiding and made the call for ransom to get the amount from his brothers. A case was registered against him and he was handed over to Dir Police.
